Wheel-thrown in stoneware with a gently scalloped rim that falls into soft petal-like points around the edge, the same detail as the flower bowls, here on a cup form. Wide enough to let your latte art get enough space, and thrown slightly thicker so you won't burn your hands - in other words, the perfect cup for a cappuccino!
The glaze is rough and stony, a pale grey-green that darkens and pools toward the base and inside the cup. It has a raw, almost mineral quality to it; matte and textured on the outside, slightly more alive where it gathers within. No two come out the same.
Because these are thrown one at a time, the petal points fall in slightly different places on each cup, and the proportions shift a little between them. That's the charm of handmade!
