Wheel-thrown in a speckled stoneware with a muted, earthy green glaze I mix myself. It's iron-based, which gives it that particular quality, not a bright or saturated green, but something more complex: shifting darker in the grooves left by the wheel, lifting lighter on the ridges, scattered with small iron specks throughout.
The two cups in this pair are close but not identical; the soft swirls created by the wheel are different on each one, which is how handmade goes.
