Wheel-thrown in stoneware with a domed top and a small opening to drink from, designed to actually travel with you without ending up on your shirt. Same idea as a regular cup, just with most of the top closed over so it stays where it's put.
A light beige glaze where the iron specks in the glaze come through, with a gradient of soft teal that blends and bleeds downward, settling into pale washes and brighter patches wherever it gathers. Lighter and more open in feeling than the dark horizon version, but made in exactly the same way.
Because these are created one at a time, the glaze layers fall at slightly different heights on each cup, and the dimensions varied a bit more than usual, which is why they'll be sold in two different sizes. But that's the charm of handmade!
